Andy and artist Zimmi Forest, who collaborated on Andy’s legacy project, ‘Richer than Bill’ will be joined in conversation with Alison Kubler, writer, curator and editor, VAULT magazine.

Andy Plummer has been a key figure in the contemporary Australian glass scene since 1991, when he began studying glass forming at Sydney College of the Arts. In 1994, he co-founded the prestigious Ranamok Glass Prize with Maureen Cahill, an initiative that championed contemporary glass artists for two decades. Since retiring from the corporate world in 2012, Andy has returned full-time to his passion for art, design, and glassmaking.

Zimmi Forest is an environmental maker/artist whose practice is materials-based. She is an observer of nature’s cycles and the plant kingdom, transforming natural and discarded materials into art and utilitarian objects using ancestral skills. Following early exhibition successes focused largely on basketry, Forest undertook formal studies in fine art, transitioning from craft to art and back again.
